SHOOTING IN FIFTH COMPANY VILLAGE: 8 YEAR OLD SHOT AFTER GUNMEN FIRED WILD SHOTS AN 8 year old boy identified as Travis Floyd of Fifth Company Village was shot last night around 10pm. According to the relative, gunmen exited a white Nissan Tiida, and entered into a yard and starting firing shots through the window of a house. During the ordeal, the 8 year old who was seated in the living room , was shot in the leg close to his penis. An 18 month on child was also roaming around in the house during the incident but was unharmed. Presently, the child is in a stable condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.

Vehicle appears to be a Kia Sorento number plate found in close proximity PDE 4061. Checks made on versadex showed vehicle registered to Safety Fire Services Ltd located at #13 St James Street P/Town owned by one Christopher Hosein. The body appears to be that of an East Indian male, stocky built, with mouth and eyes covered with duct tape, rope around neck and hand bounded. Body was found partially on fire, vehicle completely burnt. Scene processed. DMO Dr Santlal, Snr Supt Gaffar, Supt Dhilpaul, ASP Theodore Persad Insp and Sgt of St Madeline Police, along with other members of the TTPS and Fire Service visited the scene.

A WOMAN was killed in Penal this morning during a domestic dispute with a close male relative.
The victim has been identified as mother of two Reshma Kanchan, of Laltoo Trace.
Kanchan was chopped multiple times and her head severed, police were told.
The close male relative has been detained by police.
Officers of the Penal CID, Homicide Region III and South Western Division Task Force are currently at the scene




A MAN who was stabbed during a robbery at Caroni on Friday has died at hospital.
Police identified the victim as Mikel Beret, 26.
Beret was stabbed in the abdomen at Kelly Village where he and another man had gone to purchase roti, police said.
A police report said that at around 12.30 p.m. on Friday, Beret was a passenger in his friend’s Nissan Tiida.
They were at Boysie Trace when two men approached the vehicle, opened the driver’s door and announce a hold-up.
The thieves took cell phones and $50 from Beret and his friend.
One of the thieves stabbed Beret on the right side of his abdomen.
The criminals threw him and his friend out of the vehicle and sped off.
The victims made their way to the Caroni Police Station and Beret was taken to Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
Police later recovered the vehicle at Sieunarine Trace, Kelly Village.
Beret died at hospital on Saturday night.
An autopsy was expected to be done at the Forensic Sciences Centre to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Officers of Homicide Region III are investigating.

SHOOTING IN SAN FERNANDO: MAN SHOT AFTER TELLING YOUNG SISTER’S BOYFRIEND TO NOT VISIT THEIR HOME ANYMOREA 19 year old man was shot around 1 am this morning at Sam Avenue, Palmyra Village in San Fernando.Alert T&T was told that the victim’s underaged sister has a boyfriend who would visit her at different hours inclusive of hours after midnight.Unfortunately, the man visited around 1am this morning and the victim, told him to leave. SHOOTING IN ST. JAMESTwo men identified as Keston Clarke & Corey Clarke were shot at Aboud Circular, St. James this afternoon. The victims reported they were liming in the said area when they heard several loud explosions. One of the victims were shot in his right shoulder whilst the other in his right thigh. They were subsequently taken to the hospital for medical attention.

A man was shot dead at St Mary’s Junction, Freeport, on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Jameek Taylor, a Jamaican national.
According to a police report, Taylor, who was a security officer, was believed to be on his way home from work around 8.30 pm when he was ambushed and killed by gunmen.
Eyewitnesses recounted seeing Taylor speaking to a young woman shortly before he was shot multiple times.
He died on the scene.
Reports said after attacking Taylor the gunmen escaped in a white Toyota Sylphy.



The body of a newborn baby was discovered at the Forres Park Landfill on Monday.
According to reports, around 11.30 first responders were performing extra duties at the Forres Park Landfill, Claxton Bay when they were alerted by a security officer that the body of a baby was found in an area called “The Pit.”
On arrival, they observed the area littered with garbage and a brown cardboard box.
Further checks revealed that the box contained the body of what appeared to be a newborn baby.
A district medical officer visited the scene, made a pronouncement and ordered the body’s removal.
The DMO indicated that the baby appeared to be three days old.
Enquires continuing.

ALLEGED BANDIT KILLED AND DUMPED BY SUSPECTS IN PENAL
Two people were detained after killing an alleged bandit and dumping his body in somebushes in Penal yesterday.Police were on the scene up to last evening processing the area where they found 35-year-old Deon Chattergoon.According to a report, the main 19- year-old suspect was at his home along Clarke Road around 10.30 am when he heard a noise at his uncle’s place next door.
On checking, he saw Chattergoon, also of Clarke Road, armed with a knife and attempting to break into the house. The suspect then stabbed Chattergoon several times until he fell to the floor.
Suspecting that Chattergoon was dead, the suspect and a relative took the body to Boucaud Road, off Platanite Trace, Barrackpore and dumped it. It was alleged that they also returned to the house and cleaned the blood spill However, a relative reported the killing to the
Penal Police Station. Sgt Victor and a team of officers from the Barrackpore Police Station went to the scene and confirmed that the body was dumped there. They later arrested the two suspects. Investigators were told that Chattergoon was a thief in the area.



GUNMEN opened fire near midnight on a vehicle carrying three men and two teenagers at Valencia on Saturday.
One man is dead, another in critical condition, and a teenage girl and another man nursing gunshot wounds.
Police identified the deceased as Anton “Darko” Blake, 41, of Palm Road, Valencia.
Emmanuel Adams was shot at least six times and is fighting for his life at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
Suresh Ramsingh, 29, an excavator operator of Peter Circular Road, Wallerfield, was shot to the right knee.
And a 17 year old girl, of Eastern Main Road, Valencia, was shot to the hand.
A police report said that the Adams was driving a white Honda Accord in which the victims and a 15 year old were occupants.
They were proceeding along Toco Road when gunfire erupted.
Ramsingh and the 15 year old boy exited the vehicle and ran off into the bushes.
They made their way to Pine Road, Toco Road, and contacted police.
Ramsingh and the boy were taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital.
PCs Samuel and West who were on patrol with officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, as well as officers of EDTF PCs Seenath, Travejo, Henry, and Jennings proceeded to Tracter Road.
The officers found the car, and a few feet away on the roadway was the body of Blake.
Adams was at the driver’s seat suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The 17 year old girl was not seen at the time
