MURDER IN ENTERPRISE: BAT GUNNED DOWN WHILE RETURNING FROM GETTING A HAIR CUT JASON MARKSMAN also known as Bat of Boodram Street, Railway Road in Enterprise was shot dead a few houses away from his home. Marksman was returning from getting a haircut when a lone gunman walked up to him and shot him . He was known to police.

MURDER IN SIPARIA; GRANNY KILLED

A 96 year old woman identified as Utilda Joseph was found dead at her Hillview Lane, Quarry Road, Siparia home. Her hands were found tied together and items from her home were missing.
MISSING TEEN’s BODY FOUND IN TUNAPUNA

CHRISTOPHER CUMMINGS,17, of Achong Trace in Tunapuna was last seen on March 05, 2021.

His body was discovered under two pieces of galvanize by CEPEP workers under a ditch along Achong Trace in Tunapuna.

Location: Calvary Branch Road, Arima.
Around 8:49pm on 22.02.21 an informant called the Arima Police station and informed them that someone was shot at said location. NEDTF PC Brewster responded to same.
At approximately 1am this morning, there was a Shooting at the Roy Joseph housing scheme in San Fernando. A lone Gunman walked through the front door of an apartment and shot a young man aged 25 so far identified as Jimeel in his face, he died about ten minutes after at Hospital.
Around 6:35pm on today’s date 17/01/21 the victim Jerome Phillip,age 30 of # 33 1/2 Paria Main Road Toco was standing on the roadway at #1 Mahabir Lane D’Abadie when a man dressed in a black hoodie approached him. Several loud explosions were heard. The assailant ran in an unknown direction and made good his escape. The victim was seen lying in a pool of blood

MURDER IN D’ABADIE

One man is dead following a shooting this morning in D’Abadie.

The deceased has yet to be positively identified up to 7am today.

According to initial reports, at about 12.05am, residents of the area heard several explosions.

Upon investigating, they observed a man bleeding from multiple gunshot injuries in the vicinity of the D’Abadie Public Cemetery.

The police and paramedics were notified, however, the victim succumbed to his wounds.
MAN ALLEGEDLY KILLS HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART HE MARRIED

KURT SYLVESTER who went to school with the woman he later married is in police custody tonight after allegedly bludgeoning her to death this morning.

Sylvester, a loans officer with Republic Bank, Valpark, and his murdered wife Suzette, a secondary school teacher, both 48 were sweethearts from their days at Couva Secondary school.

This morning as Suzette awoke for her first day of online school for the new term, a heated quarrel reportedly broke out between the couple at their Mowlah Road Extension, Presal home.

It’s alleged that Kurt Sylvester had repeatedly accused his wife of being unfaithful.

Investigators say that during the quarrel Kurt Sylvester allegedly began beating Suzette with a hammer. She collapsed and died at a bedroom in the house.

The husband fled the house and headed to the Chaguanas police where he surrendered.

JENNY GRANADO
Described as a “brutal” rape and murder by police, 61-year-old Jenny Granado who was found at her Turure Road, Sangre Grande home dead. Police officers believe the victim identified was raped, beaten and then strangled. She was found with her clothes torn and a cord tied around her neck on her bed at her red Road, Turure, Sangre Grande home. Her body was in a state of decomposition when discovered by a neighbour, she lived alone. 2 young men were suspected of doing the crime.

POLLY BAHADOOR
83-year-old Polly “Mama” Bahadoor to be murdered in the way she was—her head completely bashed in exposing her brain tissues and her face smashed into the skull.
Bahadoor was beaten to death with a piece of cylindrical metal allegedly by an 18-year-old relative.
She was a woman, whom family and residents alike say was a very quiet yet helpful, kind and caring person to everyone in the village.
Bahadoor suffered from arthritis in both knees and had to move around in a wheelchair.

GEMMA KHAN
Pensioner, 74, was found murdered at her home at Mucurapo Road in St James on Monday. Gemma Khan was beaten to death during a robbery as it was discovered that her vehicle and a television set were missing.

MERLE SINGH
Gunmen killed Merle “Ie” Singh on her 65th birthday in Moruga, where they beat up her 24-year-old partially disabled grandson and his brother, 30, during a home invasion. Singh, the mother of two, who lived at Moruga Road in Cachipe Village, was shot once in the chest.

ANGELA MCKENZIE
Grandmother of seven Angela Mc Kenzie, 64, who was chopped to death, her neck was almost completely cut off. A young man was suspected of killing her.

YVONNE TRUMPET-NICHOLSON
Yvonne “Eve” Trum­pet-Nichol­son, 74, of Brook­lyn, New York, was last seen alive and well by her im­me­di­ate fam­i­ly at the JFK In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port min­utes be­fore her flight to T&T. How­ev­er, what tran­spired af­ter her ar­rival at the Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port five hours lat­er re­mains a mys­tery. Her de­com­pos­ing body was found on Mon­day at about near the T&T De­fence Force’s base in Cu­mu­to.

HERMINA DOUGHTY
71-year-old retired nurse Hermina Doughty was found stuffed in a blue barrel in Tacarigua..Police said Doughty’s decomposing body was found down an incline off St Michael’s Road. Fire officers helped to recover the body. A handyman who use to work for her was arrested for her death. He was arrested driving her Nissan Wingroad.

LILLAWATI MAKHAN
Retired corporal Kenneth Makhan, 62, was found stuffed in a barrel while his wife Lillawati, 65 was found in suitcase in their Upper Welcome Road, Cunupia home. Police said they received a phone call from residents who complained of a foul stench coming from the couple’s house. One man was held and charged for their murders, it is believed he killed them during a home invasion.

74 year old Zorida Ali, who was bludgeoned to death in 2016 from a robbery gone wrong at her home/business.

76 year old Shirley McMillan, who was murdered by a relative in 2015.

   The body that was found burnt in a car in St Joseph on Mon­day night has been iden­ti­fied as An­dre Ken­nette Smith, 37. Smith was iden­ti­fied by rel­a­tives at the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre. Po­lice be­lieve that he was tak­en in his car and car­ried to the scene at Bangladesh in St Joseph where he was killed and then his body burnt in his ve­hi­cle. No mo­tive has been es­tab­lished yet for the killing, how­ev­er, close friends and fam­i­ly have ex­pressed “shock” and de­scribed his killing as “cold and heart­less.” Smith was de­scribed by rel­a­tives as “an easy go­ing guy” and would be re­mem­bered in a What­sApp so­cial me­dia group he was an ac­tive part of called “Warn Ah Broth­er.” Smith, who was pop­u­lar­ly known as “Mr E” was ac­tive in the group up to Sun­day. Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 10:30 pm a team of po­lice of­fi­cers went to Farm Road Ex­ten­sion, St Joseph in the vicin­i­ty of the WASA pump af­ter they re­ceived a re­port of a ve­hi­cle on fire. Up­on their ar­rival they re­port­ed see­ing a ve­hi­cle en­gulfed in flames, fire of­fi­cers who al­so rushed to the scene ex­tin­guished the blaze and whilst mak­ing checks, found Smith’s charred re­mains in the back seat of the ve­hi­cle.  In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
