MURDER IN AVOCAT JUNCTION FYZOBAD, RIP CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY😢😢

A young mother who broke off a relationship and returned to the home of her parents recently, has been found shot dead.

The body of Gabriella Dubarry was discovered at around 11a.m. at the family house at Jebodsingh Drive, Avocat, South Oropouche.

A male suspect in the killing is in police custody. The suspect is well known to Dubarry’s family,l and to her child.

Dubarry was 28-years-old.

BREAKING NEWS –

CECIL SKEETE, the man who accused COP Gary Griffith of choking, punching, and putting a gun to his head has been SHOT DEAD.

SKEETE a Cocorite, St, James resident alleged in a recent Denyse Renne Trinidad Express story that Commissioner Griffith abused him while at the Four Roads Police Station.

Griffith denied the allegations which had been supported by an image of the Station’s diary where all incidents are recorded. He claimed Denyse Renne was obsessed with discrediting him.

Skeete, then suddenly recanted his story, denying the incident ever happened.

Sources day Skeete was shot several times tonight near his Freedom Street, Cocorite home.

It is alleged the Skeete was part of the “Rasta City” gang.

Over the years Skeete had a number of run-ins with the law for possession of firearms and ammunition and other offences.

SUSPECTED COP KILLER DEAD AFTER SHOOTOUT WITH SORT

One man is dead after a shootout with members of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) in Valencia on Friday evening.

Senior police confirmed a team of officers led by Police Commissioner Gary Griffith went to a house along the Valencia Old Road, Valencia, at around 7.05 pm where they got information Michael Thomas was hiding.

Thomas was a suspect in the murder of PC Nicholas Victor who was shot and killed while working as security at a Caroni grocery on Christmas Eve.

As officers approached the house, they were shot at.
Police returned fire, hitting Thomas several times.

He died at the scene.
Police said they found Victor’s personal weapon, a gold Glock pistol on Thomas’ body.

Murder in Moruga: A Gardner names killer as he was being shot earlier today in his garden

Around 715am 38 yr old Damien Mollineau a gardener of Edward Trace Moruga was shot and killed by a man name Kevin when he went into his garden in company with another male relative. Damien died at the Princes Town Health Facility.

A man was stabbed to death at the Chaguanas market on Tuesday.

Police said the victim, Christopher Mendoza, 54, was involved in an altercation with another man at around 11am.

There was a struggle and Mendoza was stabbed in the chest.

He collapsed and died at the scene.

The suspect ran away.

The incident was witness by scores of people who were shopping at the market and along the Chaguanas Main Road.

32 yr old Dave Maharaj of Marabella was stabbed to death by another male relative during an incident outside Pipe Two Bar, Sisters Road Hard Bargin, Williamsville around 4am today. Maharaj died while being treated at the San Fernando Gen Hosp and the suspect remains at large.

BODY FOUND IN ARIMA: FEMALE RBC EMPLOYEE DEAD

The body of a woman was found at Demerara Road, Pinto, Arima, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the woman, identified as Roma Mohansingh aka Roma Lamont, 28, was found just after 1 pm by passers by who called the Arima police.

Investigators said Mohansingh was believed to be working with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

Her body bore no visible marks of violence.

Murder in San Fernando.

POLICE ARE AT THE SCENE WHERE A WOMAN WAS FOUND MURDERED AT HER RIDGEWOOD GARDENS GOLCONDA SAN FERNANDO HOME BY HER SON. A MALE SUSPECT, WHOM SHE HAD A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST, WAS SEEN LURKING AT THE HOUSE EARLIER AND IS ON THE RUN FROM POLICE.

Counsellors from the police Victim and Witness Support Unit have been assigned to ten children, eight of whom witnessed the killing of their father, Damian Howe, in the family’s home this morning.

The children’s ages range from four-15.

Reports said all ten children were in the house when two gunmen entered.

Eight were in one bedroom with their father and the other two were in another bedroom of the family’s home at Kitchener Street, Marabella.

The children were preparing to go to school and their father was getting ready for work.

A police report said at about 5.30 am the men came in, walked into the bedroom and began shooting at Howe. They then ran out.

The children were not harmed, but Howe, 43, died on his bedroom floor.

Neighbours heard the children’s screams. Other relatives in the house contacted the ambulance and police.

The ten children were seen crying and calling their father’s name and had to be consoled by family members.

Howe was a supporter of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) and had recently been on a walkabout with the members of the party last week. MSJ leader David Abdulah offered condolences to Howe’s family. He said the tragic news had left members devastated and in shock.

Abdulah said Howe was not involved in any illegal activities and was a family man who worked hard to provide for and protect his children.

Howe worked at the Community Based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP).

Prout died at Mt Hope Hospital last night just hours after one of the suspects surrendered to Sgt Sunil Bharath of the Port of Spain Division in connection with the incident which is now a homicide.

MURDER IN CAURA: SECOND WOMAN FOUND CHOPPED TO DEATH IN UNDER 48 HOURS

FOR the second time in under 48 hours, a young woman has been found chopped to death.

This time the victim was found around 1 p.m. on unoccupied land opposite the Housing Development Corporation’s Peas Tree Development at Caura Royal Road, El Dorado.

Up to last night, the woman had not been identified but police told the Sunday Express they had information which may lead to her identity and the arrest of a suspect.

Police described the victim as a young woman of Indo-Trinidadian ethnicity with long hair, a slim build and brown in complexion.

Her body was discovered by a resident who was riding through the land on his bicycle.

He was using the route as a short-cut between communities along Caura Royal Road.

When he saw the woman’s body, he notified police and was aiding with enquiries.

A team of officers led by ASP Jackman and Insp Birch visited the scene.

Residents of the area told the Sunday Express the killing had left them shocked.

One resident said the land was owned by Home Construction Ltd — a subsidiary of CL Financial — but this was not confirmed yesterday.

“(The land) was to be used to build more housing developments here but then the whole CLICO thing happened and after the fallout, it was mostly untouched.

“Some people opted to use some areas as a little garden and grow some paw paw. But men in the area were always just stealing the crops, so eventually they stopped…

“People know they not supposed to be on the land because it’s private property but they will still go through to save some time.

“But this here, I don’t know what to make of this. When they identify her I’ll form a better opinion because it’s just shocking. I can’t imagine any reason why anyone would do that to a young woman,” the resident said.

The killing has pushed the murder toll to 443 for the year so far.

On Thursday, the body of 24-year-old Dolmatie Mungroo was found at a home in St Helena.

She had been chopped to death.

A 23-year-old man was detained at a hotel in Caroni on Friday morning in connection with the killing.

Police suspect the killing may have been caused by a domestic dispute as Mungroo had recently ended a relationship.

Mungroo was a clerk at a vehicle parts store near her home in El Carmen, St Helena.

She was the last of three children.

Up to last night no charges had been laid against the 23-year-old man.
